BrainWaveBank allows anyone to measure and track their cognitive health at home, taking just a few minutes everyday. This low cost approach will help transform our understanding of brain health and cognitive illness so that people can live longer, healthier, more connected lives.
Daily brain health is measured using a wireless headset, while playing mobile games for a few minutes a day. We use machine learning and brain-reading technologies to build a detailed record over time of personal cognitive health, providing insights and advice to the user on how their individual lifestyle factors affect their performance.
Our platform can securely gather, store and analyse data from many thousands of users, building cognitive profiles of individuals and populations / demographic groups, and this data can support clinical trials and the development of new therapies and diagnostics.
BrainWaveBank secured £1 million (€1.1 million) in seed funding from investors earlier this year to build out its platform and is currently seeking to raise a further £3 million (€3.3 million).
The company, whose solutions have been developed by a team of neuroscientists, cognitive psychologists, machine-learning and big data analytics specialists, is initially targeting the cognitive health assessment market, which is expected to be worth $8.1 billion (€6.8 billion) by 2021.
