About the Digital Healthcare Council
As the first sector focused council in Digital Healthcare, our members represent different digital. healthcare pioneers, large and small across England.
Innovation - The council is a vehicle to promote a greater understanding of technology’s contribution to the healthcare industry by championing the role of digital innovations.
Collaboration - We aim to collaborate with England’s most senior health decision makers using input from our members – the people leading the digital health tech sector nationally.
Future Proof - We will work to make sure the provider voice is heard as well as tackle current challenges including access to data, by working with key organisations.
Independent Chair of the Digital Healthcare Council
Samantha Jones is the independent chair of the DHC. Sam has worked in several operational management roles before becoming CEO of Epsom and St Helier Hospitals NHS Trust.
She joined West Hertfordshire Hospitals Trust in February 2013 as CEO and was recognised for her work to improve culture and introduce a patient safety focus. In 2014 she won CEO of the year at the HSJ awards and in 2015 was appointed by NHS England as director of new care models, to lead on national implementation of the Five Year Forward View.
