The first half of 2018 brought record numbers in digital health funding. More than $6Bn has been raised so far this year across 414 deals – the largest deal count we’ve seen to date.
Globally, investors are on track to nearly double their 2017 investments, demonstrating their long-term commitment as well as the overall growth potential in the market. Pair that with the emergence of new innovation hubs in countries like China and Finland and it is clear that confidence in the sector is high.
Trend Watch: Stories Shaping Digital Health
We saw over $157 in innovative health funding this week, led by Bind Health ($70M), a startup working with employers to structure health benefits so that workers can buy “on demand” insurance coverage. Other big raises included men’s health startup Hims ($50M) and delivery robot company Savioke ($13.4M), which is expanding into hospitals.
