Forget IPOs. Europe’s healthtech story is increasingly being written by buyers. Corporates want fresh tech, investors want liquidity, and the cheques are getting bigger.
By mid-2025 healthcare deal value had soared 87% to €31.8 billion, even as deal count slid 8% according to Nelson Advisors. In the UK, 168 healthtech exits landed by the end of 2024 against just 61 failures. M&A is no longer a side strategy; it’s the headline act and primary way buyers access innovation, capability, and competitive edge.
